Indonesia Golden Visa: Investment Thresholds and How to Verify Them

We do not publish client testimonials for Golden Visa applications. Investor immigration files contain financial and identity details that should not be reconstructed in public, and unverifiable praise adds nothing to a decision of this size. This page sets out the actual investment thresholds instead.

How to Verify What You Read Here

The thresholds below are set by Indonesian immigration regulation, not by us. Before committing funds, confirm the current figures against the official source — the Directorate General of Immigration (imigrasi.go.id) and BKPM/OSS for company-investment routes — because these thresholds have been revised more than once and published guides go stale quickly.

We are a visa consultancy. We are not a licensed financial adviser, and nothing on this page is investment advice. Which instrument you choose — bonds, IDX-listed shares, mutual funds, deposit or property — is a decision to take with your own regulated adviser and tax counsel.

Key Investment Options Highlighted by Our Clients

The Indonesia Golden Visa programme offers various pathways for investors. Our clients have successfully utilised the following options:

  • Government Bonds: A secure investment avenue for both 5-year (USD 350,000) and 10-year (USD 700,000) individual visas.
  • IDX-listed Shares: Participation in Indonesia’s stock market, meeting the same financial thresholds.
  • Mutual Funds: Diversified investment through managed funds.
  • Bank Deposits: A component of the individual investor visa, requiring a minimum USD 130,000 to be maintained.
  • Residential Property: A direct route for a 10-year visa by purchasing a residential apartment worth at least USD 1,000,000.
  • Company Establishment: For individual investors establishing a company, requiring USD 2.5 million for a 5-year visa or USD 5 million for a 10-year visa.
  • Corporate Investment: For corporate directors/commissioners, requiring a corporate investment of USD 25 million for a 5-year visa or USD 50 million for a 10-year visa.
  • Nusantara (IKN) Golden Visa: Reduced thresholds for investment in the new capital, with USD 5 million for a 5-year visa and USD 10 million for a 10-year visa for individual investors establishing a company.
